Description

Ayano Takeda is a Japanese author. She is best known for her novels in the “Hibike! Euphonium” series.

Already in elementary school she found the author Risa Wataya interesting with her novel “Keritai Senaka”. She later attended Sagano High School in Kyoto, joined the literature club and began writing her first novels. In 2012, she enrolled at Doshisha University and joined the Faculty of Letters, Aesthetics and Art. At that time, she participated in the Eighth Japan Love Story Novel Contest. Her novel “Kyou, Kimi to Iki o suru” made it to the finals, but did not win the prize. The novel was nevertheless published by Takarajimasha.

In December 2013, she wrote her second novel, which was based on her experiences in the Brass Band Club at her elementary and middle school. This resulted in her first novel in the “Hibike! Euphonium” series.
