Nobuteru Yuuki is a Japanese mangaka, illustrator, animator, and character designer born in Tokyo Prefecture on December 24, 1962.

He began his career as a doujinshi artist under the pen names The Man in the High Castle and Yubic, both references to the books by American sci-fi author Phillip K. Dick.

He has drawn characters for manga, anime and video games and frequently collaborates with director Kazuki Akane, including his most popular work to date – “Escaflowne”.

Nobuteru Yuuki ist ein japanischer Mangaka, Illustrator, Animator und Charakterdesigner, der am 24. Dezember 1962 in der Präfektur Tokio geboren wurde.

Er begann seine Karriere als Doujinshi-Künstler unter den Künstlernamen The Man in the High Castle und Yubic, beides Anspielungen auf die Bücher des amerikanischen Sci-Fi Autoren Phillip K. Dick.

Er hat Charaktere für Manga, Anime und Videospiele gezeichnet und arbeitet häufig mit dem Regisseur Kazuki Akane zusammen; so auch für sein beliebtestes Werk bis dato – „The Vision of Escaflowne“.
