Grand Blue (2014)

Iori Kitahara moves to the coastal town of Izu for his new studies, where his uncle runs the surf shop “Grand Blue”. As a student, he has his sights set high: he wants to make cool new friends and meet pretty girls.

Unfortunately, everything is different from his imagination. Instead of cool new friends, he only meets the loser Kouhei Imamura and strange, older fellow students who constantly feel the urge to take their clothes off – and they even force him to join their excessive drinking! But that doesn’t end well either because a short time later, he finds himself drunk and dressed only in his pants in his uncle’s shop, where he rips off his fellow students in drinking games. To make matters worse, his cousin Chisa Kotegawa comes home at this moment. But she just ignores him?!

Iori Kitahara zieht für sein neues Studium in die Küstenstadt Izu, wo sein Onkel den Surfer-Shop »Grand Blue« betreibt. Als Student hat er sich viel vorgenommen: Er will coole neue Freunde finden und hübsche Mädchen kennenlernen.

Leider ist alles anders als in seiner Vorstellung. Statt cooler neuer Freunde lernt er nur den Loser Kouhei Imamura und merkwürdige, ältere Mitstudenten, die andauernd den Drang verspüren, sich auszuziehen, kennen – und die zwingen ihn noch dazu, dass er sich ihrem exzessiven Saufen anschließt! Doch auch das geht nicht gut aus, denn er findet sich kurze Zeit später betrunken und selbst nur in Unterhose gekleidet in dem Shop seines Onkels wieder, wo er seine Kommilitonen bei Trinkspielen abzieht. Zum größten Übel kommt in diesem Moment auch noch seine Cousine Chisa Kotegawa nach Hause. Aber die ignoriert ihn nur?!
