LEONINE Anime is the anime label of LEONINE Distribution.

It was originally founded as UFA Anime and later renamed Universum Anime.

The company philosophy consists of the following:

LEONINE Anime has set itself the goal of appropriately presenting both well-known classics and top new releases of Japanese animated art to the loyal anime fan community in Germany, Austria and also Switzerland. Special emphasis is placed on exclusive features and high-quality packaging solutions. LEONINE Anime does not have a fixed programme in terms of genres; they always try to appeal to a broad audience.

LEONINE Anime is also the licence holder of the well-known Ghibli films by Hayao Miyazaki.
