Viki is a legal streaming portal, including a community, founded in 2007. Its headquarters are located in Singapore. The name is a derivation of the words “video” and “wiki”.

The company licenses various Asian movies and series and makes them available as streams on its website. Their concept is to offer subtitles in various languages with the help of the community. The portal provides the community members with the corresponding tools, with which they can add missing subtitles themselves.

In 2013, Viki was bought by Rakuten, a Japanese group, and merged into its corporate structure as a subsidiary.
