Bandai Namco Entertainment Inc. is a Japanese game developer in the field of arcade, mobile and video games and is a subsidiary of Bandai Namco Holdings (BNHD).

The company was formed under the name Namco Bandai Games (in Japan as Bandai Namco Games) on the 29th September 2005 from the merger between the two responsible divisions of Bandai and Namco. The aim of this merger was to be able to react better to the fast-moving market of the entertainment industry. In addition to the distribution of video games and the production of anime, the entertainment software giant is also responsible for various arcade machines (including Ridge Racer), which are very popular in Japan, as well as visual software and web content in general.

The company was renamed Bandai Namco Entertainment Inc. on the 1st April 2015 after Bandai Namco Holdings announced the name change in December 2014.

Das Unternehmen entstand unter dem Namen Namco Bandai Games (in Japan als Bandai Namco Games) am 29. September 2005 aus der Fusion zwischen den beiden zuständigen Abteilungen von Bandai und Namco. Ziel war es, durch diese Fusion auf den schnelllebigen Markt der Unterhaltungsindustrie besser reagieren zu können. Im Aufgabenbereich des Unterhaltungssoftwareriesen befinden sich außer des Vertriebs von Videospielen und des Produzierens von Animes noch diverse Spielhallenautomaten (u. a. Ridge Racer), welche in Japan sehr populär sind sowie visuelle Software bzw. Web-Inhalte im Allgemeinen.

Das Unternehmen wurde am 1. April 2015 in Bandai Namco Entertainment Inc. umbenannt, nachdem Bandai Namco Holdings diese Namensänderung im Dezember 2014 angekündigt hatte.
