Mirelia Q. MELROMARC

For the most part, Queen Mirelia Q. Melromarc remains shrouded in mystery, both as a person and as to her intentions. Due to the strong tensions between the kingdoms caused by the king’s greedy decision to summon all four heroes to Melromarc instead of one for each kingdom as established, Queen Mirelia is forced to leave the kingdom to protect her kingdom and restore a minimum of political balance, but above all to protect her people.

This alone puts her on a completely different level from the king, and not just because she is the rightful ruler of the matriarchy: Mirelia is an authoritative ruler whose priority is the safety of her people. Through her loyal team of spies, she can monitor what is happening in the kingdom in her absence, including the machinations of her husband and eldest daughter against the Shield Hero, and also plans to take control of the Church of the Three Heroes.

Mirelia can be considered Naofumi’s greatest benefactor, as she has instructed his “shadows” to act as intermediaries, providing useful information for his journey. She has a manipulative streak that can be ambiguous, such as the fact that she planned the meeting between Naofumi and her second daughter, Melty, or the way she tries in every way to convince the hero not to let him go and to continue to protect her kingdom.

Her role as queen contrasts with that of wife and mother, and knowing her, it is easy to see how much she cares for her family, even if her duties have often kept her away from her loved ones and largely neglected her, and was very shocked and disappointed by the selfish and evil personality of the first princess.

Despite the crimes committed by her husband Aultcray and her daughter Malty, she would have given her life in their place if Naofumi had not intervened, and for that, she is eternally grateful.
