The Testament of Sister New Devil Departures (2018)

With Departures, the anime film continuing the Shinmai Maou no Testament franchise, we join Basara, Mio, Yuki and co. right where we left off at the end of the series’ second season, Shinmai Maou no Testament Burst. After the fierce battle in the underworld a fragile peace between the different demon factions arose and Basara and his gang bear some responsibility for stabilising the demon world as well. To finally get some well-deserved rest and recuperation, they decide to visit the local indoor pool and it isn’t long before Basara and Mio are all over each other again. Of course, even here Maria is on her very own mission: after all there are tons of juicy pictures to snap, what with Mio in a bikini and Basara so close by …

Once the wet fun is over and the friends are on their way back, reality comes crashing in, however. A new order from the Elders of the Hero Village reaches Yuki and Kurumi and not only they, but Basara as well, will have to overcome their past and carve a path into the future for all of them. But before Basara can come to a conclusion, he has to make good on a promise he made to his teacher Hasegawa-sensei. Can she alleviate his worries during their date and the steaming hot night to follow?

Departures, der Anime-Film zu Shinmai Maou no Testament, setzt die Story um Basara, Mio, Yuki und Co. an der Stelle fort, an der die zweite Staffel, Shinmai Maou no Testament Burst, aufhörte. Der Kampf in der Unterwelt ist vorbei und zwischen den Fraktionen der Dämonen herrscht nun ein zwar fragiler, aber immerhin existierender Frieden, für den auch Basara und seine Kameraden mitverantwortlich sind. So gönnen sich die Freunde eine wohlverdiente Auszeit im großen Hallenbad der Stadt, wobei es zwischen Mio und Basara natürlich heiß hergeht und Maria keine Gelegenheit auslässt, um ihr erotisches Fotoalbum weiter mit spritzigen Bildern zu füllen. Auf dem Heimweg von dem feuchtfröhlichen Badespaß werden sie jedoch von der Realität eingeholt … Ein neuer Befehl der Ältesten des Heldendorfes erreicht Yuki und Kurumi und nicht nur für sie gilt es nun mit der Vergangenheit aufzuräumen; auch Basara muss seine inneren Dämonen überwinden und sich seiner Vergangenheit stellen. Bevor die schwierige Entscheidung jedoch getroffen werden kann, wartet noch eine heiße Nacht mit seiner Lehrerin Hasegawa-sensei auf ihn …
