Gekleidet in dunkler Rüstung nennt ihn die Kirche den schwarzen Ritter, auch basierend auf dem, was man über ihn hört, aber Guts hat keinen Ruf zu verteidigen, denn etwas viel Größeres steht der Menschheit bevor, während er gleichzeitig auf der Suche nach seiner Geliebten Kjaskar ist, die ihre Erinnerungen verloren hat.
