The company is active in Germany, Austria and German-speaking Switzerland and markets international film productions on DVD, Blu-ray or digitally as a stream or download on the internet.
Through the acquisition of licences from Galileo Medien AG, the catalogue of the FilmConfect label was expanded in autumn 2009 to include several European films and well-known film classics.
Until summer 2019, the company FilmConfect Home Entertainment GmbH was responsible for the distribution partner, alongside other partners such as m(puls intainment GmbH and Roughtrade for Germany, Videophon for Switzerland and NSM Records for Austria.
Under the FilmConfect Anime label, the company distributes anime in German-speaking countries with its subsidiary FilmConfect Anime UG.
