Stigma of the Wind (2007)

Ayano and Kazuma are both members of the Kannagi family, a family with great power over fire magic. While this power is very strong in the heiress Ayano, Kazuma lacks any ability for it. After Ayano defeats him in a ceremony because of this, the disgraced Kazuma leaves his family and changes his surname to Yagami.

Four years later, however, he returns! By now, he has become a powerful master of wind magic. Shortly afterwards, some members of the Kannagi family are killed by a wind master. Kazuma, of course, immediately comes under suspicion and, despite his protestations of innocence, must now prepare himself for a fierce battle with his former family …

Ayano und Kazuma sind beide Mitglieder der Kannagi-Familie, einer Familie mit großer Macht über die Feuermagie. Während bei Ayano, der Erbin, diese Macht sehr stark ausgeprägt ist, fehlt Kazuma dafür jegliche Fähigkeit. Nachdem Ayano ihn aufgrund dessen in einer Zeremonie besiegt, verlässt der in Ungnade gefallene Kazuma seine Familie und ändert seinen Nachnamen in Yagami.

Vier Jahre später kehrt er jedoch zurück! Inzwischen ist er ein mächtiger Beherrscher der Windmagie geworden. Kurz darauf werden einige Mitglieder der Kannagi-Familie von einem Windbeherrscher getötet. Kazuma gerät natürlich sofort in Verdacht und muss sich nun trotz seiner Unschuldsbeteuerungen auf einen erbitterten Kampf mit seiner früheren Familie einstellen …
