Fairy Gone (Arc 2) (2019)

“Fairy Gone (Part 2)”, the second part of the original anime, continues the story of Marlya, Free and their colleagues in the government-backed Fairy organisation Dorothea. After Marlya had to give up searching for her friend Veronica, who is hunting the Black Fairy Tomes for some reason, she found herself involved in one incident after another … Not only did she have to attend an official meeting of her unit with Ray Dawn – the man, who burned down her home village and executed all the villagers – without attempting to murder him, but just a short time later, she was also dragged into a raid while transporting a legendary Fairy Weapon, which cost the lives of several Dorothea members. Among the fallen warriors was a friend of Marlya’s and a long-time member of the unit: Oz Mare.

When the leader of the rebels responsible for the attack on the weapons transport, Bivie Risker, started a campaign against the emperor and was supported by a renegade nobleman, Free and Marlya could combine personal interests with work: for them, defending the palace was not only a service in the Emperor’s name but also a chance for revenge on the man who killed their friends. While Beevee Liscar ultimately escaped, they succeeded in fending off the attack and protecting the emperor. But many questions remain unanswered … Who was the real mastermind behind this uprising? What about the mysterious Black Fairy Tome? And also Marlya’s own condition as someone who is possessed by a Fairy and can use it in battle without having been subjected to a regular organ transplant is still uncertain. What does the future hold for the “cursed child” Marlya and her companions?

Nachdem Marlya die Suche nach ihrer Freundin Veronica, die aus irgendeinem Grund auf der Jagd nach den Black Fairy Tomes ist, zunächst aufgeben musste, fand sie sich in einen Vorfall nach dem anderen verwickelt … Nicht nur, musste sie ein offizielles Treffen ihrer Einheit mit Ray Dawn – dem Mann, der ihr Heimatdorf niederbrennen und alle Dorfbewohner hinrichten ließ – überstehen, ohne ihm an die Gurgel zu gehen, sondern wurde sie wenig später beim Transport einer legendären Fairy-Waffe in einen Überfall hineingezogen, der mehreren Dorothea-Mitgliedern das Leben kostete. Unter den gefallenen Kriegern war auch ein Freund Marlyas und langjähriger Mitarbeiter der Einheit: Oz Mare.

Als der Anführer der Rebellen, die auch für den Überfall auf den Waffentransport verantwortlich waren, Bivie Risker, dann zu einem Feldzug gegen den Kaiser ansetzte und dabei von einem abtrünnigen Adligen unterstützt wurde, konnten Free und Marlya Privates mit der Arbeit verbinden: Für sie war die Verteidigung des Palastes nicht nur ein Dienst im Namen des Kaisers, sondern auch eine Chance auf Rache an dem Mann, der ihre Freunde tötete. Während Beevee Liscar schlussendlich entkam, konnte der Angriff abgewehrt und der Kaiser beschützt werden. Doch viele Fragen bleiben weiterhin offen … Wer war der wahre Drahtzieher dieses Aufstandes? Was hat es mit dem mysteriösen Black Fairy Tome auf sich? Und auch Marlyas eigener Zustand als jemand, der von einer Fairy besessen ist und sie im Kampf nutzen kann, ohne einer regulären Organtransplantation unterzogen worden zu sein, ist weiterhin unklar. Was hält die Zukunft für das »verfluchte Kind« Marlya und ihre Gefährten noch bereit?

Fairy Gone (Part 2), la seconda parte dell’anime originale, continua la storia intorno a Marlya, Free e i suoi compagni nella organizzazione Fairy supportata dal governo, Dorothea. Dopo che Marlya ha dovuto rinunciare a cercare la sua amica Veronica, che sta cacciando, per qualche motivo, il Black Fairy Tomes, si ritrova coinvolta in un avvenimento dopo l’altro. Non solo dovette superare un incontro ufficiale della sua divisione con Ray Dawn – l’uomo che diede fuoco al suo villaggio – senza strozzarlo, poco dopo viene anche coinvolta, durante il trasporto di un arma leggendaria Fairy, in un agguato che portò alla morte di diversi membri della Dorothea. Tra i caduti si trovava anche un suo amico e collaboratore di lunga data della divisone: Oz Mare.

Quando il leader dei ribelli, che sono anche i responsabili dell’assalto al trasporto d’armi, Beevee Liscar, pianifica una spedizione contro l’imperatore, supportato da un nobile rinnegato, Free e Marlya potevano unire il privato con il lavoro. Per loro la difesa del palazzo non era solo un lavoro nel nome dell’imperatore, ma anche un’occasione di potersi vendicare a colui che ha ucciso i loro amici. Mentre Beevee Liscar riuscì a fuggire, l’attacco all’imperatore fu debellato e l’imperatore messo in salvo. Ma molte domande rimangono aperte. Che era il vero mandante di quest’insurrezione? Cosa è questo misterioso Black Fairy Tome? Anche la condizione di Marlya, posseduta da un Fairy che può usare in combattimento senza essere mai stato fatto un trapianto di organi, è poco chiara. Cosa tiene ancora pronto il destino per la «bambina maledetta» e i suoi amici?
